WAIVER WIRE: WNBA 365 to add Facebook + Instagram on April 14th
STUDIO 171: Coming off of a THIRD consecutive month of an increase in Network viewership (60% increase from February), we are please to announce the launch of TWO new WNBA 365 Network social media accounts this month! In preparation for the historic 20th season of the WNBA, we are expanding our social media outreach to Facebook and Instagram!
The accounts will officially go live on April 14th at 12pm PDT in perpetration and anticipation for the evening's events, including the 2016 WNBA Draft beginning at 4pm PDT on ESPN 2 and the evening's extended edition of WNBA 365: Draft Day Central at 9:30pm PDT.
The Network Facebook page will be a fan like page, where fans from the WNBA and Women's Basketball community can continue to add their input to the daily conversation about the big news and games happening daily. Additionally, the page will provide the daily schedule of games, news, and scores. Also, the page will provide the live viewing pages to the every episode of WNBA 365 along with poll questions for fans to partake in and many more things to come.
About the Network Instagram account, it will serve in conjunction to the Twitter page as the hub for breaking news, along with publishing the daily schedule of games, news, and scores. Also included, at select games this season, our hosts will be hosting Host Eye View, which will feature one of our hosts on an account take-over for a selected game that they are in attendance at. On show nights, the Instagram account will publish the live viewing pages in its profile and will also announce the host starting lineup for each show as well.
In addition, Fans will also be able to vote for the 365 SQUAD OF THE WEEK this season, by voting for the five players who played the best stretch of games for the week and fans will vote for a player at each position to make the Team of the Week.
