WAIVER WIRE: WNBA 365 Draft Party Broadcast Team/Special Guests Announced

STUDIO 171: The WNBA 365 Network has announced the Broadcast team and special guests for the WNBA 365 Draft Party show taking place on Thursday April 14th from 4-6pm PDT/7-9pm EDT.

As mentioned in our other press release, The 2016 WNBA Draft will be held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT beginning at 4pm PDT/7pm EDT. Round 1 can be seen in its entirety on ESPN2 with Rounds 2 and 3 being shown on ESPNU, along with the WATCHESPN and ESPN apps.

After a meeting with freelance writer Aneela Kahn, the WNBA 365 Network has been awarded the broadcast rights for this years draft day show and the Network will be well represented amongst the assembled broadcast team. Network Founder and Main Host Callan McClurg will serve as the main show host alongside Aneela, while serving as the live streamer of the event on the Network's YouTube Channel. Co-Host Kristul Thomas along with fellow co-host and the WNBA writer from Today's Fastbreak Eric Nemchock will round out the members of the 365 team to join the draft day show.

Working alongside the hosts of the Network is freelance writer Aneela Kahn, the organizer of this years event and a freelance writer based in Toronto. Also joining the broadcast team will be Stephen Anderson from Project Spurs and a writer for the San Antonio Stars. Freelance reporter Luis Sanchez and TJ Centinaro round out the broadcast team's freelance reporters. Longtime Network contributors and current WNBA writers Albert Lee (Washington Mystics) and James Bowman (Atlanta Dream) will also hop aboard the broadcast team.

Over the course of the two hour program, the broadcast team will discuss the draft in real time, breakdown each selection, along with taking your input by answering your questions via Facebook, Twitter or in the live chat box on the YouTube viewing page.

The team will also be joined by a few special guests during the course of the show. Dearica Hamby from the San Antonio Stars will join the team 4:10pm PDT or immediately following San Antonio's draft pick selection at number two overall of the first round. Oregon State star Ruth Hamblin will visit with the team at 5pm PDT to talk about her transition from college to the pros and her post draft selection excitement. Former WNBA great and current talk show host Chasity Melvin will serve as a special guest analyst throughout the show.
