The 2016 WNBA Playoffs are set to begin on September 21st with the top eight seeds regardless of conference battle for the WNBA title. The top two teams will receive a double-bye to the semi-finals, seeds 3 and 4 will receive a single bye. Seeds 5 through 8 will be in the single elimination round (5 vs 8 and 6 vs 7).
The Rounds go as follows...
Round 1: Single Elimination
Round 2: Single Elimination
Semi Finals: Best of Five
Finals: Best of Five
A look at the official Playoffs Bracket

I won't go on to make a full prediction of the every round, but I will say the first round will be very intriguing. Storm vs Dream is a match-up that could go either way, especially if the league decides to suspend guard Tiffany Hayes who picked up her 7th technical foul in the Dream's 95-87 loss to the Lynx. The Mercury vs Fever match-up is going to be another fun, yet emotional game. For both teams, we could very well see the last of Tamika Catchings or Penny Taylor, so regardless of the outcome. the league will lose a WNBA legend.
The official Playoffs schedule

Will the defending champs make it two in a row or will there be a new challenger to take the title?
